Kai sat down on a bench as Aaron tried to make Dalia feel better.

Amira lay still on the bench, the realisation hitting her.

It wasn't going so well, Dalia barely got any better.

After about an hour Amira came out of her hut and found Kai, Aaron and Dalia. "How's things going?" She asked.

"Good." Kai said with a small smile. "Aaron's trying to make Dalia feel better."

Amira glanced over. "Bless him, thanks for looking after her for me"

"You're welcome, you sure you don't need more time?" Kai asked gently.

"No, I'm alright"

"Alright." Kai gave a warm smile, offering for her to sit down next to him.

Amira smiled back and sat down next to Kai. She leant her head against the bench.

“You sure you don’t need time?” He asked softly. When his uncle died he cried for hours, and he wasn’t even one of his parents.

Amira hesitated then nodded. "I'm fine" she insisted because she wanted to believe it so badly.

Kai gave a small nod, not sure he believed her. "Well if you need more time then I'll make sure Dalia's ok."

"Thanks" Amira smiled gratefully.

"Your welcome." Kai smiled.
