'So Nikolai,' Terry said, putting down his newspaper. 'Where are you from?'

"I don't really know. I think somewhat Italian..."

Terry chuckled. 'No, I don't mean heritage.'

"Oh." Nik said, chuckling. "Um, same town as Nat."

'How'd you two meet?'

"We crashed into each other running to class."

'That's romantic,' Susan teased.

Nikolai blushed. "Yeah I suppose so." He said, smiling.

Natsuki was also bright red and looked down at her pasta.

Terry chuckled at how embarrassed the two were, eating his pasta.

Natsuki glanced at Nik before continuing eating.

"And how did you guys become friends? And then.... More than friends?" Susan asked, turning her gaze to Nat.

'We just started hanging out,' Nat shrugged, still really red.

"She invited me to her house, and we watched Star Wars." Nik added. "Or at least I did. She fell asleep halfway through."

Natsuki giggled. 'Then I started sleeping over at his house because-' her thoughts drifted to when the foster agency found their house and took Ming and Xiao away. For the first time in two months she thought about this, and trailed off.
