Nikolai nodded. "Of course. What kinda boyfriend would I be if I wouldn't protect her?" -

Terry nodded, his glare relaxing into a small smile. 'Go upstairs and see your girlfriend,' he said, not in a rude tone. -
"Thank you!" Nik said, scrambling upstairs to go see Natsuki. "Good news: We're not in trouble!"

Natsuki glanced up. 'What?'

"We're not in trouble!" Nik repeated, sitting down next to Nat.

'Really?'

He nodded. "Yeah, I think we're ok." He said, offering Nat his hand to hold.

Natsuki interlaced her fingers with his, breathing a sigh of relief. 'Thank goodness.'

"Thank goodness." Nikolai agreed, smiling.

Natsuki closed her eyes, very relieved.

Nik kissed Natsuki on the top of the head.
