"Great" Aria smiled and too her surprise it wasn't her fake smile, it was a real one. She looked at Jacob and then added. "I hope your happy here. It's always raining though, so you might have to buy an umbrella"
Her smile was gone replaced with a fake one, cheeks reddening. Who says that? Jacob must think she's weird. -
Jacob must think she was a geeky weirdo*

"I'll put that on my list of things to do," Jacob smiled at her. After taking another bite he asked, "What do your parents do for a living?"

Aria sighed and looked away. She knew this question was coming. Every-time she told someone about her Dad they all treated her differently, talked too her with pity, like she didn't understand. But Jacob, he seemed different. She took a deep breath and turned back towards him. "My mum is a Carer but on the days she's not working she works at a pub." Aria paused then added. "My Dad was a teacher but now he's uhm, he's not here any more" she explained biting her bottom lip too stop herself from crying.

Jaime set a hand on Aria's shoulder. "You and your mom are very strong for living without him," he said. It wasn't pity. It was support. -
Aria tightened her muscles and then relaxed them again. She felt relieved too have someone who didn't treat her differently because of family issues. She didn't reply, but just smiled gratefully.

"So, what are some things you enjoy to do?" Jacob asked as he finished off his sandwich.

"I don't really do much. Watch Tick tock and hanging out with my mates I guess" Aria replied. "What about you?"

"I read and draw a bit," Jacob said. "I played soccer a few years ago but not so much anymore."

"Nice" Aria stated then added. "Why did you stop playing soccer? And, if you wanted too know it's football down here"

"I know it's football, but I've always called it soccer. Since it's hard to break a habit, I called it soccer," Jacob said. "And I stopped because I was tired of the environment the team mates created."

Aria purses her lips. "Oh" then added "Sorry that can't of been nice for you" she realised she was pitying someone else when she hated it done too her. "Maybe you could join our football team, there's a few nice boys and Coach makes us clean up the litter of the field every other week.

"Join our soccer team and pick up trash!" Jacob joked. "Great slogan. I might look into it, though. Where do you sign up for things like that?"

Aria laughed lightly. "Yeah, you sign up for the clubs at the main office, where you were this morning we've got.." she started consulting her watch. "Just under five minutes till the end of lunch if you wanna go?"
