(We could do it as he moved to England from America?)
Jacob rose his eyebrows at Aria's tempered display of emotions. She was definitely not in a good mood. He made a note in his mind to never cross her.
Jacob quickly looked down at his schedule. "Yeah, Math with Mr. Irving," he said. He glanced over at Aria. "You alright?" -
"I'm fine" she snapped. "Come on, Maths block is this way incase you've forgotten" Aria reminded.
She didn't blame him for asking how she was. She knew she was in a bad mood. She hardly wasn't ever not in a bad mood these days.
(Yeah, I'm good with that) -
Jacob followed her, easily keeping up with her fast pace. The silence between them was awkward. "Why is it called maths over here instead of just math?" he asked, trying to change the subject away from Aria's mood and to break the tension.
-
"Don't ask me" Aria replied pulling her blazer tighter around her. She wasn't a very talkative person around anyone really apart from Chloe. Chloe Thomas, her bestfriend who had moved away in year 7 all the way too Australia. They still had each other numbers but they barely ever talked now so neither did Aria.
-
"Ok then, I won't," Jacob muttered under his breath. He decided to leave Aria alone since she wanted to be alone. If she wanted to interact with him, she would have to be the one to initiate contact.
-
Aria sighed as she entered the maths classroom. Every chance she got too make a friend she always ruined it. She went too sit next too him but decided against it, she felt too embarrassed too talk too him now.
-
Jacob glanced at Aria as she made as if she were going to sit next to him, but then moved away to sit on the other side of the room. So her problem wasn't with the tour, but with him. What had he done that she disliked him this much?
The classes passed and eventually it was time for lunch. Once Jacob had his, he scanned the large room, looking for somewhere for him to sit. All the tables had people, so he tried to look for one that looked the most inviting. -
Aria looked over and saw Jacob looking for some-where too sit. She knew the right thing too do would be too invite him over to sit with her and her mates but it felt wrong replacing him with Chloe.
Aria sighed, Chloe would of told her too make a new friend and not just slouch around like a lazy cow. So, Aria got up and walked over too where Jacob was standing. "Hey" she said quietly. "You wanna come sit over here?" -
Jacob couldn't help but raise an eyebrow towards her. "I was under the impression you weren't very fond of me," he said. Yet he followed her anyway.
-
Aria said nothing and instead responded with a shrug. When they reached the table Aria sighed. "No more room somebody took my spot".
"Wanna go outside?" she suggested. -
"Sure," Jacob said and followed her through the halls to go through the doors outside.
-
Aria led the way, Jacob trailing behind her. She stepped outside the door and sat down on the wall. "So?" She said chewing on her lip. "Where did you move from?"
-
Jacob sat down on the wall next her and picked up some of his food. "America," he said. "Wisconsin, specifically."
-
"Right" Aria stated not really sure of what too say. "So, why did you move?" she asked a little more interested now then she had been earlier that morning.
-
"The business my dad works for is extending a branch out here," Jaime answered. "They wanted him to go work here. My mom works out of the house and they both saw the value in me seeing other countries. So, we moved."
