Emrena takes a breath, looking up towards the sky to try and spot smoke. " We'll go on ahead. It could just be a coincidence, but stay on your gaurd. All of you" Emrena says firmly as the grip on her stave tightens, as she walks forward, the mages eyes focused on the goal ahead of her

'Me too,' Akari muttered, pulling her long hair into a ponytail. She returned her hand to where it hovered over her arrow bag which sat on her waist. She tightened her grip on her bow. Little Fella stirred from where he slept on her shoulder. Her !eft ear wobbled for a second, picking up a sound, and she pushed her glasses up her nose. 'Get down,' she snapped at her companions, crouching behind a rock.
(I forgot to add that elves have good hearing) -
(Oof sorry I didn't see that last paragraph)

Akari exhaled slowly, her hand hovering over her arrow bag, which sat firmly on her waist. She tightened her grip on the bow, her knuckles turning white. Little Fella stirred from where he slept on her shoulder. Her left ear flexed, picking up cracking sounds. 'Get down,' she snapped at her companions, which was the first thing she'd said all afternoon. She crouched behind a rock, holding her bow out and fixing an arrow into the string, ready to shoot. -
Naydren immediately moved to comply, ducking down behind the rock with her, before whining when he heard a draconian sounding roar. "Who ever that is they are very angry, and hurt" he translated quietly, holding his tail close to himself as he glanced up at the black smoke beginning to fill the sky
"Not a red dragon though, the accents off" -
Emrana however continues to proceed, not all that concerned by the sound of a dragon, having slain more than she'd have liked. The woman's cloak trails over the ground, as her staff makes a light ringing noise, the bells attached to it giving her a good idea of what they're going to be dealing with thanks to their warning enchantment.
Void magic curls up around her body, beneath her long cloak. -
'She's too bold for her own good,' Akari muttered. Her ear wobbled again. 'There's something else. Two legs, heavy footsteps, steady breathing. No tail dragging behind, approximate age being 35...' she paused to put the arrow bag in her bag, and agjusted the brown leather bag slung over her shoulder. 'I'd say a ogre, dwarf or human. I don't think it'd be an elf. They would've heard us from miles away.'
-
"Well she is a S class mage" Naydren replied, still nervous, before he moved to follow Emrana into the town, the hybrid gagging a little as the smell of charred flesh reached his nose. He looked up as a building at the end of the street suddenly fell down, the resulting ash cloud obscuring what did it, but the now close by Roar gave a good enough clue
-
Emrana's eyes open, as tendrils of void shoot all out over the city, in an attempt to locate any adversaries or any survivors. The void curls around her arm, feeding back secrets of the area to her.
-
'Oh my god,' she mumbled, pulling out her bow and arrow. She aimed it into the cloud before it swallowed her with a force so hard it made her fall over. (Not sure what else to write)
-
After a moment, Akari sat up. 'Little Fella?' she called, realising his weight was off her shoulder. No mewling sound in reply.
She glanced to Naydren and Emrana, before looking to the villagers coughing and shouting for their kids. They'd have to look for Little Fella later. She took her bow from the ground and stood up. 'I'll check the remains of the building. Naydren, watch my back. The creature is injured, so try not to hurt it more.' She pulled an arrow from her bag and fit it into the bow. 'Emrana, gather the survivors to the outskirts of the town.' It felt wrong to tell someone much older than her what to do. -
Naydren nodded st the order, pulling his staff off his back and flicking open its hidden compartment to access the water inside, his eyes and tail scoots glowing faintly as his magic activated. There was a moment of silence as they approached the building, before a deep clicking sound rang out of the smoke filled ruins, a large bipedal creature moving inside
-
Emrana shakes her head firmly. " absolutely not. In case you've forgotten, I'm the mentor here." She says sharply, but not in a mean way as she heads straight towards the building.
" you two. Take the survivors and come back to me only when you're certain they're not going to be in danger" She says before she runs into the ruins, her magic absorbing the smoke around her dispelling it -
'My god,' she muttered. Emrana was never assigned the mentor. She ignored the mage's orders and went to find Little Fella, leaving Naydren to follow Emrana's orders. 'Little Fella?' she called, shouting into what remained of the town. 'Little Fella?'
-
Naydren looked hesitant, watching the elf for a moment before moving to obey the much more experienced guild member, using his water to extinguish any fires along his path so that none of the civilians would get hurt worse
That clicking sound rang out again as a long, thin tail cut through the fading smoke, the blood streaked hide of the draconian monster rippling with the flames that danced around the ruins, as the beast slowly turned its many crazed eyes to Emrana. It stared for a few seconds, before its already constricted pupils shrunk further and it roared. Twisting around to face her fully as its tail smashed through a stone pillar -
Emrana's ears prick up, eyes wide as she hears that shouting " That girl needs a serious wake up call" she mutters to herself as she's quick to apply her magic to block out the sound, so the dragon they may be about to fight doesn't go and hunt her down, and kill her.
Emrana walks through the smoke, having extinguished the flames, looking around for the culprit. Her eyes narrow, wanting to finish the monster off as soon as possibile so she could go and help the survivors since one half of the rookies she was training has decided to ignore her orders.
Emrana's magic lights up around her, as she's surrounded by tendrils of void that destroy any debris that gets close to endangering her. She frowns, feeling something isn't quite right with this monster, as she moves to restrain it with her void magic.
" I'm going to have to insist that you stop this tantrum, right now."
