Blaze looked up as she left. "hey, hey Claire!" he followed her, trying to catch up. "it's not safe to walk alone in the middle of the night." he says, "you don't know who creeps around neighborhoods at this time." his face gets serious.

Claire looked up in surprise when Blaze came after her. She shrugged. "I do this a lot. Plus one of the neighbors let me take a shortcut through their yard whenever I want which cuts off some time."

Blaze nods, understanding. "still. may i walk you home? wouldn't want you to get hurt." he winks, smiling. "no one's gonna hurt you when i'm around. they wouldn't dare."

"Thank you, then," Claire said. "Wouldn't you being a nice guy compromise your reputation, though?"

"when did i say i was being nice?" Blaze huffed, trying to look tough again. "maybe i just wanted to walk with someone." he admits.

"Lonely?" Claire raised an eyebrow, a teasing smile on her face. "Goodness, now everyone will fear you."

"i'm not lonely!" Blaze huffs again, rolling his eyes. "i have my thoughts to keep me company when i'm alone." he says, then mumbles. "alright, maybe i am a little lonely."

Claire glanced up at him. "People are probably scared of you," she said. "People don't really have a glowing impression of you."

Blaze stuffs his hands in his pockets. "i don't need people to like me." he says curtly, looking at the ground.

"Are the rumors true?" Claire asked. "What everyone says about you?"

"well, what rumors have you heard?" Blaze asks, keeping his eyes trained on the ground.

"Breaking girl's hearts because you get bored of them, violent fights just for the thrill of it, terrible temper, things like that," Claire answered.

Blaze shrugs. "honestly, i can't argue with the last two. the first one, though, is wrong. i don't mean to break girls hearts, but it happens."

"And that you should have gone to jail on multiple occasions?" she asked. -
(i did. he is a player but he does try to let them down a little easy. if you don't like that i'll change it, i'm sorry!)
Blaze sighed. "I guess."
