Blaze's eyes widen, then he smiles and hugs her back. "thank you, Claire. i didn't know how much i needed that."

She let go of him then said, "Would you like to walk me home?"

"of course." Blaze says. his face had gotten a little red from the hug, but hopefully not enough for Claire to notice.

"Wasn't that guy you hit the one who tried to hit you this morning?" Claire asked. "What's going on with that?"

"well..." Blaze says, trying to think of how to word it. "His girlfriend broke up with him, and he thinks it's my fault or something like that."

"How come?" Claire asked, looking up at him in confusion.

"i really don't know." Blaze says, shrugging.

"That's weird," she said. "Oh, can I put your number in my phone?" she asked, pulling her phone out of her pocket.

Blaze looks at her in surprise. "uh, sure." he says, pulling out his phone and pulling up his number, showing it to her. "here."

Claire quickly began typing, glancing back and forth between the screen and her phone. "Thanks," she said. She sent a quick text to him and said, "There, now you have my number too."

Blaze smiles when he sees the notification. "thank you, Claire." he says, looking at her.

"It's just a number," Claire shrugged.

it feels like a whole lot more. he thought, but just nodded, staring at her, smiling.

Soon she arrived home. "You know now that you know where I live maybe sometime I shod find out where you are," Claire said.

Blaze sighed. "i could show you now, if you like." he said. "it's not too far from here."
