Thread Topic: common grounds
-
today it takes the form of a park in a busy city
If anyone's even here right now, I want to be creative. bring your ocs to the common grounds to interact with other people's ocs in a passive, non-plot driven environment. super chill
requirements: be cool -
hey guys, just gonna bump this and hope someone responds lol
I really miss letting my characters interact and develop complicated relationships with other people's characters -
This sounds cool 👀
-
okay so it's pretty easy
you just bring your ocs in here to interact with other peoples ocs
I've chosen a pretty neutral setting and it's open world, so they're free to do whatever they want -
She's swinging alone in the park. It's early afternoon, and most children are still in school, so she's got a lot of the playground to herself!
-
Along the river side of the park, Falter stood by the edge admiring the ducks from afar. He was used to the quiet and the ambient bliss of nature.
-
She sits on a bench at the edge of the park, observing two people going about their lives. One appears to be a young girl and the other.... what is going on with that guy's face?
She turns her attention to the book in her hands in an effort not to stare. It was none of her business after all. -
She is acutely aware that she is no longer alone, and wonders if she might be able to befriend the newcomers. One is duck watching, while the other is reading. She chooses not to interrupt the woman in the middle of her book. For now.
She jumps off the swing, which is still in motion, and makes her way over to the man by the river.
"Hi!" she calls out as she approaches, scaring some ducks away. -
Falter turns around, startled by the sudden greeting.. His face was distorted. His face could not be seen through all the noise and static blocking the view. He's aware that he's gotten some looks for it, but at the same time, at this point, he has become used to it.
His body turned around to the girl who scared the ducks away, and his left hand slowly crept up over where his heart was in an attempt to calm himself. He'd look back at the ducks that were scared away and back at the girl. -
Though she's still pretending to read, she's paying close attention to the young woman's interaction with the man, glancing up every few seconds.
-
"Oh no, your ducks.. I'm sorry." she says with a faint smile. If she notices the abnormality of the man's face, she gives no indication.
-
Skylar walked along the river, as close as she could get to it without falling in. She enjoyed looking at the water. It always calmed her.
She noticed commotion and looked over to where two people were standing. She saw that ducks had been scared away by one of them and couldn’t stop a small laugh before she continued walking. -
A third person has wandered into the park. She appears fairly normal, but, as she has been known to do, the villain is keeping close tabs on her, as well.
-
Despite what the man appeared as, with his strange looks. The man sighed, muttering, "It's alright." Falter expected the girl to run away in fear of seeing something unsettling.
-
She beams, relieved that he didn't seem angry. It would have sucked to lose a potential friend that quickly! Still, she'd be to be more careful in the future.
"I bet we could lure them back with some cut grapes!" she offered, coming to stand beside him while still trying to allow him a good amount of personal space.
