Genevieve grabbed a bag, stuffing in a few articles of clothing and some coins. She’d decided earlier that she was sick and tired of being alone all the time; no siblings to play with, no parents to talk to. She would run away. She grabbed her journal before she left, speaking as she wrote down her final message. “Dear Mother and Father,” she said. “Goodbye.” She tore out the piece of paper and put it on her bed for her parents to find, if they cared enough to look for her. She walked out the door.

(Disclaimer: The lore that don't have a user yet, I will be using as default.)
Something rushes past your balcony, so quick, it was like a blur. Whatever it is, you could see it standing on the roof of the castle. It wasn't a guard... -
I have a question are we doing like a specific order for posting or just continuing the story whoever whenever?))
-
For whoever, whenever. Orders are complicated.
-
Ok lol))
Genevieve stumbled back. What was that? she thought. She cautiously walked to her balcony, keeping her eye on the mysterious figure. Please don’t hurt me… -
The cloaked figure looks at your straight in the eyes. Though you couldn't see their face, a chill ran down your spine from the intensity of the stare. The person breaks eye contact and jump down to the front of the golden gate of the palace entrance. They knock out both of the guards. Then looking back at you, they nod and disappear into the night.
-
Genevieve brought her hand to her mouth. “Oh my gosh,” she said, wrapping her other arm around herself. “Are they going to steal something? Hurt someone?” Am I safe? Genevieve eyed a rope she’d made out of spare sheets and cloth. She grabbed it and tied it to the balcony, climbing over the edge. Don’t kill me before I get out…
-
The hooded figure reappears, at the bottom of the balcony. They just stand there, staring at you. This time, the feeling was neutral. Wasn't intense, wasn't soft. Just a blank stare. They hold their hand out, as if to say they'll help you down.
-
Genevieve was entranced, to say the least. The figure held her attention, and they seemed so interesting and mysterious that she didn’t think twice before grabbing their hand.
-
The figure helps Geneieve down, planting her feet softly into the crisp grass. Now you two are face to face. In the moonlight, you were able to make out some of their features. Pale green skin, with very large freckles, and a scar going across the bridge of their nose. Their voice was a soft whisper, "Good evening, princess."
-
Genevieve’s eyes were wide with wonder and curiosity. “Good evening,” she said, barely loud enough to be a whisper.
