Sapnap smiled softly. “Oky, fine, I’ll let it slide. But it’s okay to tell me anything, you know. I’ll never judge you.”
-
Quackity nodded, spreading his wings and folding them loosely against his back. "Well, I just- it's- I'm-" He didn't know what to say to explain and he frowned.
Karl came back out, noticing the slight change in Quackity's demeanor and watching him. "Is everything okay?" -
“Hey, hey deep breaths,” Sapnap said. “It’s okay, if you’re not comfortable it’s okay.”
-
Quackity tugged nervously at the hem of his shirt, fidgetting. He mumbled his answer under his breath, clenching and unclenching his hands.
Karl frowned, going over to Quackity. "What's wrong, honey?" -
Sapnap slowly approached him. “Hon, you okay?”
-
Quackity was overwhelmed with bad memories, but was trying his best to not breakdown or cry. He didn't want a panic attack, not today, not now, not on their wedding day. He got the sudden urge to hide, terrified of breaking down. "'M fine..." He lied, avoiding eye contact.
Karl frowned. "You can tell us what's wrong, love-" -
“Hon, take some deep breaths with me, okay?” Sapnap inhaled deeply, waiting for Quackity to copy him.
-
Quackity couldn't really focus and leaned against a wall, slouching down to the floor. He put his hands over his head, covering himself up.
Karl frowned. "Isn't that a response to his trauma?" He asked quietly, so Quackity couldn't hear him. -
“I think so,” Sapnap frowned, sitting next to him. “Love, you’re safe, okay? We’re not going to hurt you. Can you take some deep breathes for me?”
-
Quackity started to sob, feeling the need to hide more than ever. He couldn't curl up enough, couldn't make himself small enough. He needed to hide. He needed to get away from them, from his memories. He couldn't do this right now. He was a horrible person. He wasn't even a person. He was a monster.
Karl frowned, kneeling in front of Quackity. "Quackity, what's wrong? It's okay, we're here." -
“Quackity, focus on us, hon,” Sapnap said gently. “You’re okay, Schlatt is dead. He can’t hurt you anymore.”
-
Quackity shook his head. It didn't matter if he was alive or dead. The fact that he would never be the same was horrible. He remembered what Schlatt said. He wasn't even human. He was a monster. Hybrids didn't deserve to live with humans. He was a mistake. His mind flooded with these thoughts and he started crying harder.
Karl was reluctant to touch Quackity. "Darling, look at us. It's just us." -
“Quackity, it’s okay, you’re safe,” SPnap said. “You’re loved.”
-
Quackity shivered as he sobbed, struggling to breath. He couldn't catch his breath, and continued to sob, shaking. He folded his wings back, pushing them as close against his back as he could. "I'm a monster." He sobbed, shivering.
"No, duckling, who told you that? You're no monster!" Karl cried, gently touching Quackity's shoulder. -
Sapnap frowned deeply. “Love, no, you’re not, I promise you. There’s no way you could be. Why do you think that?”
