Gold coughed again, gagging. "I-I feel s-sick." He whined, leaning forward and trying to force down another sip of water.
Bad sighed quietly and released Gold's hand, brushing his hair back. "Take it easy, Gold. Just relax." -
"Relax, and take deep breaths," SKeppy said.
-
Gold whimpered and followed both Skeppy's and Bad's instructions. He inhaled deeply and held it for a few seconds before letting it out. He chewed on his lip a little, and took another sip.
Bad smiled. "Like that. Good job, Gold. Just calm down. That's all that you need to do." -
“Yeah, focus on your breathing,” Skeppy said.
-
Gold hiccupped and took another deep breath. He rubbed his eyes and shivered a little, but slowly relaxing.
-
Skeppy hummed quietly, rubbing Gold’s back.
-
Gold was soon breathing normally, calm and relaxed. Skeppy's humming calmed him as much as the deep breaths did.
Bad smiled. "Feel better, Gold?" He asked, brushing the little hybrid's hair back. -
“Do you want to talk about anything?” Skeppy asked.
-
"I-I guess. Maybe my dream." Gold said quietly, cuddling against Skeppy and Bad. "I just can't guarantee that I'll be okay while explaining it."
Bad nodded. "It's okay. We'll be here for you, so explain, but if it's too overwhelming, stop and calm down." He smiled at his son, who sighed and nodded. -
"Yeah, and we don't need to fully know, if you wanna get it off your chest go for it," Skeppy said.
-
Gold whimpered a little and sighed. "I-I was alone, in a dark place. Don't know where I was, or how I got there, but I was there somehow." His voice cracked and he swallowed nervously. "Then someone came out of no where, and -" Gold started panting, and tugged at his ears, whining.
Bad gently took the boy's hands and put them in Gold's lap. "Hey, easy. It's okay, just a dream." -
"Yeah, it wasn't real," Skeppy said. "You don't need to say anything more if you don't want to."
-
Gold shook his head. "N-no. You should know all of it." He took a deep breath and sighed, trying to start again. "Someone came up to me from the d-darkness I couldn't place the face, though it looked familiar. He - it was a man, I- I know that, he came up to m-me and pinned me against a wall and tr-tried to hurt me, take my last life. After he hurt me and t-ta-ta-taunted me, asking if I was r-r-re-really alive. That's when I star-started screaming. I-I- I co-couldn't ha-handle it." Gold sobbed and started shaking, panting hard. "It was horrible!!"
Bad shook his head. "No one will hurt you here. We love you, Gold."
Lem nodded and reached over to comfort Gold. -
"Yeah, it'll be okay," Skeppy said. "And that whole encounter wasn't real. You still have your last life, alright?"
-
Gold shivered and nodded, tears springing into his eyes. "Then it brought back memories of - of the feast-festival, whe-when I-I th-thought I was d-d-dead." Gold hiccupped and sobbed, trying to calm down, but needing to let out his terror somehow.
Bad squeezed Gold's hand. "And we proves you were still alive then. You're still here." He said quietly, reassuring the hybrid boy.
Lem nodded. "You have a final life. You are still alive. Besides, if you die, I'll just convince Dream to revive you."
