(the new one you had :])
"Okay, Morrigan, calm down, please," Matthew said, standing up quickly and grabbing her wrists to try and keep her in one place. A grey van suddenly pulled up, and Matthew knew it was his uncle by the logo of Landry's Laundry on the side door.
"Will you come with me? I can get you somewhere safe," He stated, starting towards the door. -
(oh alright woohoo!!!)
"O-Ok..." Morrigan managed to say. Matthew's presence calmed her for some reason. She held on tightly to his shirt sleeve as they walked over to a van she didn't recognize. -
Matthew led her over, the van blocking them from any view of Parallex. He shut the large sliding door behind him after helping Morrigan into the passenger seat.
"Drive around the corner, Max," Matthew told his uncle. "I'll get out then, and bring Morrigan somewhere safe."
"Uh-huh," Max said slowly, studying Morrigan for a moment before driving away.
Matthew quickly changed, checking his gear and getting ready to get out. -
(So I'll just assume the characters still don't know that they're both heroes?)
"W-What about you?" Morrigan said, her head leaning against the window. -
(yep )
"Uh," Matthew said with a pause. "I'll be fine, I'm just going to check it out." He stated, pulling his mask over his head and opening the door.
"Don't worry, I'll be back." -
"You better come back." Morrigan said with a pained smile. "I-I need you too..." she said before falling asleep. She wasn't even fully aware that she had said it.
-
Matthew furrowed his eyebrows, sending a confused glance at Max, which he reciprocated, before shrugging.
"Keep her safe," He said before breaking off into a run around the corner to face Parallex. -
(Need me to control Parallex for now?? Or no?? Also, why are all the characters' "M" names? I was gonna have Parallex's real name be Maverick Lmfao)
Morrigan's mind was half in the past and half in the present, the line "I need you too" being something she said to a friend the last time she saw him. Thoughts and feelings and memories she buried away were resurfacing because of Parallex. -
(pfft lmaoo-
and yes pls)
Matthew turned the corner, looking around for Parallex, startled by the sudden silence. -
(Aight Ima make Paralex's real name...uh....Lewis. Ye.)
Parallex focused intently on the flow of time and reality itself. He switched the perspective of this so-called "hero" everyone in this damn city was going on about. He sprinted down the street, knowing his enemy was unaware. Then, he tossed a bomb behind the hero, letting him move through time once more. -
Citadel looked around, seeing the bomb behind him. He sucked in a breath, sprinting away and rolling into an alley to reduce the shock.
-
"God damn...you're better than I thought you'd be." Parallex exclaimed. He dodged the explosion himself, and then followed Citadel into an alley and truly stood face to face with him.
-
Citadel sucked in a breath when he saw Parallex standing in front of him.
"Get out of here," He said sternly, holding his place. He knew this never worked, and it would come to fighting, but it never hurt to try. -
"I'd gladly leave, but I'm looking for an old friend," Parallax said in a sleazy voice. "Bright blue hair, grey eyes, really f***ing short...kinda worthless, I could go on. I saw her earlier, she seemed to slip away." Parallex crossed his arms and smirked.
-
"I've never met someone of that sort," Citadel lied, furrowing his eyebrows. "Are you sure you have the right person?"
