Mercurysplash laid there quiet. then she screamed.

"Mercury!" Pebblenose took her paw off her muzzle. "What's wrong?!" The medicine cat's fur bristled with shock as she gently lay her paw on the queen's belly.

Mercury went quiet again. She looked at Jupiter with a caring expression. She then cried in pain.

Pebblenose crouched down and sniffed her. "She's expecting her kits! But, it's so soon." She paused for a second remembering it's normal to have them early. This meant more kits had grown. "Are you ready?"

Mercury then smiled. Remembering how Jupiter always wanted kit. "Yes." Mercury said as she laid down.

Pebblenose nodded and looked at Jupitershock. "Go get a stick." She demands as she felt around Mercurysplash's stomach, counting the kits. "Six!" Her eye widened. "Oh, StarClan. . . aren't your paws going to be full?" She purred.

Mercury giggled. "Jupiter has experience. We used to watch the other kits of other cats." She said.

"You two are going to be amazing parents. . ." Pebblenose was caught off by Jupitershock coming back in. "Brilliant, thank you." She nodded and gave Mercurysplash the stick. "Bite that when you feel pain. It'll help fade it." The medicine cat mewed. "Alright." Jupitershock purred above her mate. "Before I step out. . . I'm very proud of you and I love you so much." She smiled.

Mercury took the stick and purred. She then was quiet.

Pebblenose gently pushed Jupitershock out of the den. She turned back to the queen and put her paw on her stomach once again. "Okay. Just making sure again. Are you ready?"
