Hensley nodded and left the room.
She let out a breath she hadn't known she had been holding. He confused her. One moment he was bursting in fury and the next he was calm and cordial.
Hensley considered telling the head servants that Alexei was going to give them a talk, but decided not to. Just to see what would happen. She went back to the kitchen to see what else she had to do. -
Alexei drank his tea calmly. It was the only thing that kept him sane in his life. He looked over documents sent by his father for him to proof read and correct.

When she returned everyone was working on getting lunch prepared so she helped as best she could. Why do these people eat so much?

Alexei checked over the documents and counted six mistakes, seven if he included his brother's name on the documents.

A while later, it was time to take the meals out. They had to hurry because the royal family would be entering soon. Hensley bit her lip as she was scolded for putting the forks and spoons and knives in the wrong order on the dining room table. It wasn't her fault there were so many!

Alexei finished looking over the documents finding twenty mistakes. He went to the throne room to talk to his father about the mistakes.

Hensley, after they had set lunch up for the royal family, was told that the king had asked for a drink, and that she was to bring it to him. They handed her the cup. When Hensely asked where he was, they answered the throne room. When she asked where that was, they said that you couldn't miss it, it had grand large doors.
So Hensley set off, cup in hand, for the throne room.
She was almost there when she accidentally rammed into someone. The drink spilled all over his front, staining it. She had been paying too much attention to not spilling the drink to notice the people around her.
Hensley looked up to see whose front she had stained when she saw the man from earlier who had wanted his tea. -

Alexei was almost to the throne room, when he was splashed with some kind of beverage. "Hey!" He yelled. The papers were soaked.

"S-Sorry!" Hensley stuttered. Why was she stuttering? She had no reason to. "It was an accident!"
A passerby maid saw what happened. She stalked over to Hensley and started giving her a piece of her mind about how DARE she spill a drink all over the Prince, while also profusely apologizing to Alexei, then shrieked at Hensley some more.
Hensley just gave this maid a look that said, 'What in the world's up with you?' -
"well, looks like the king's papers are ruined, and right after I finished them too." Alexei said trying to control his anger. He knew if he yelled his father would hear

"I'm sorry," Hensley repeated quietly. "Is there maybe something I could do...?"

"just help me explain to the king and hope you don't lose your job." Alexei said scoffing.

Hensley held her mouth open for a moment, then nodded. She hoped she'd be able to keep her job. This was one of the ways that her family was repaying their debts was by having her work here.
