It was early morning as Hensley walked through the corridors of the castle, trying to remember where she was supposed to go, the way there, what she was supposed to be doing, and so on.
This was her first day at this job. A servant at the castle. Hensley was doing this because her family practically owed the royal family their lives and her family didn't like feeling indebted. -
Alexei was lazing around in the study waiting for the tea he'd demanded from the kitchen. He was sure no one could be this slow and was ready to go down there and fire someone. He got up off a chair he'd previously been lounging on and walked out of the study.
