Jathiern opened the portal to Renna's room. She should be asleep by now. He started taking her through the portal.

Renna gasped when she felt herself being lifted up. She looked at Jathiern and screamed.

Jathiern jerked when Renna was not asleep, but wide awake! But there was no reverse button on the portal so he'd deal with her when they were on his planet.

"W-Who are you?! What are you doing?! Let me go!" she yelled, struggling against his strong hold on her.

After a quick moment they were through the portal. He held her arms still with his main set of arms, but she kept squirming. So he kept her legs still with another set of arms but she was still moving around. Soon all eight arms were attempting to hold her still.

"Let me go!!!!!" she yelled, hoping someone would hear her before the portal closed.

But the portal closed too late.
Jathiern had no idea what to do. How was he supposed to deal with a human that wasn't asleep? -
Renna started panicking. "What the- why are you weird looking?"

"I could ask you the same thing," he said in a calm echoing voice.

"I look perfectly normal, you don't." she said.

"I could also say the same about you," Jathiern said. He was speaking in his own language, but she could probably get a sense of something based on his tone of voice, as he was.

Renna frowned. "I think I know what you're saying, but I also don't."

Jathiern wasn't sure if he should let one of his hands go. He decided to. He quickly pressed a button near him then returned his hand to where it had been before. "I believe we should be able to comprehend one another's words now?" His voice still had a slight echo to it.
