(ah, k. i'm still gonna do it, cus i can and i'll probably forget the fact it does that lmao )
Jo shuddered, hugging her legs closer to her chest. ``That's terrifying and I'd much prefer not dying.`` She said, keeping her gaze on the waves as they washed up on the shore. -
(Lmao)
Arlo insisted, "You do get my point. It could be much worse. Aw, s---. My castle," he said as it crumbled. "Sad. I should have put my hand at this angle instead of the angle I did," he fretted, panicking. -
Jo chuckled, looking over to Arlo. She moved in front on him and his crumpled castle, grabbing sand and starting to rebuild it. ``I think maybe try and make the ground more level, then make the base secure and steady so it doesn't topple over.`` She said, continuing to rebuild the sand castle.
-
Arlo nodded. "That’ll do it for sure," he said, trying his best to fill in some sneaky spots with his gentle, bony hands. He dusted himself off the best he could. "What are we going to do for the rest of the time we’re here?" he asked.
-
Jo shrugged, brushing strands of hair out of her face. She hummed softly, standing and brushing herself off. ``Guess maybe we should find some shelter?`` She suggested.
-
``We could try,`` Arlo agreed. ``But why would there be shelter in the middle of the ocean? I'm not even sure how close or how far away from civilization we are.``
-
Jo nodded, crossing her arms. ``If we can't find any, we could just try and make some. Not sure how great I'd be at that, but it's worth a try.`` She looked around, taking a step forward. ``We should also try and look for food, for when we need it.``
-
``But how are we going to find food?`` Arlo challenged. ``Oh, wait...`` He plucked a coconut from a nearby palm tree and tried to crack it open. ``This goddamn coconut won't let up,`` he complained, handing the coconut to her. ``Can you give it a try?``
-
Jo nodded and took the coconut, pulling out an object from her pocket. She flipped it open to reveal a small blade and began to try and cut through it, attempting to pry it open. She successfully cut through it, opening up the coconut. ``Done,`` she said as she held the coconut halves out to Arlo and put the pocket knife away.
-
Arlo gently took one and left the other in her palm. ``It's only fair that we share,`` he told her with a faint smile. ``Who knows if you're going to starve to death without that half coconut.``
-
Jo chuckled and nodded, pulling the other one closer. ``So, after this, we should probably start looking for shelter or materials to make one,`` she suggested, staring at the ground.
-
``I think so too,`` Arlo murmured. ``But what can he use?`` He asked, gently fingering the half-sandcastle. He looked Jo in the eye, attempting to make her raise her gaze and face him.
-
Jo shook her head and regained focus, looking at Arlo. ``I guess just anything we can find. Leaves, sticks, that stuff,`` she said, brushing strands of hair out of her face.
-
``We could try taking stuff from the palm tree,`` Arlo offered. ``Like this.`` He stood on his tippy-toes and grabbed two big leaves from the palm tree. ``Oh come on!`` he grumbled as the two leaves dragged him down and flipped him onto his backside.
-
Jo laughed and walked over to Arlo. ``You need any help, or can you handle this?`` she said jokingly, watching him struggle for a moment.
