Elizabeth was frustrated. She couldn’t seem to see Julian’s side of the conversation. Her head was too filled with thoughts of her plan writing and how she would get Andrew to finally like her. -
(Well in the plot it said silly bribery.)
Julian looked at her. He was going to give her five to ten seconds to say something before he walked away from her. -

Elizabeth suddenly sputtered out, “I’ll get you free entrées at my mom’s diner for a month if you do it!” -
Now that got his attention. After all, the way to a man's heart is through food.

Elizabeth noticed how Julian’s expression changed and her blue eyes grew wider with hope. “So... will you do it?”

Julian slowly nodded. "It's a deal."

Elizabeth grinned. “Yay! Thank you so much, Julian!” She said to him. “So, um, do we like, go on a date now or something?”

"Your choice," he shrugged. "We should at least go to the occasional dances together."

Elizabeth shrugged as well. “Well, the Valentine’s Day dance is coming up in about a week. You wanna go?”

"We'd be expected to go as a couple," Julian chuckled.

Elizabeth chuckled nervously. “Yeah, you’re right. Ok, well, I have to go to work, but can I get your number? I need to use it to text you what I’m wearing to the dance so we can work on matching our outfits.”

"Sure," Julian said, and took her phone. He typed it into her phone before giving it back to her. "Make sure you text me," he said.

Elizabeth nodded. “I will. Now I gotta go, but I’ll see you around!” She said, getting onto her turquoise bike and riding away with a smile.

Julian waved her goodbye, then got up and started walking home. -

Elizabeth’s mother has been so excited that she has gotten a date to the dance that she immediately took her out shopping for an outfit.
