Azure scowled at the bright yellow door, but a smile replaced his dubious expression when Ruby courteously let him enter first. After all, it wasn't quite polite to comment rudely on your friend’s house.

Ruby noticed Azure's dubious expression and immediately began to doubt that she ever should have brought him to her house. Her whole life, she had made friends, but when they came to her house, they always cringed and commented, quickly refusing to go to her apartment whenever she asked if they wanted to afterward. She looked down at her feet after she closed the door and entered the dimly-lit front room. "I'm sorry," she began."I know it's not nice like yours..."

Azure let out a hearty laugh. "I'm not one to judge your house. After all, I basically live in a dirt house. You should come see my amazing dirt invention someday," he told her, grinning and wiping his feet on the magenta welcome rug.

Ruby smiled shyly at Azure's kind comment. "Thanks." She said. Then she chuckled at what he said after that; "Haha, I'd love to." She responded. She wiped her feet on the welcome rug as well and then walked over to the small living room, sitting herself down on the faux leather couch.

"Ooh, faux," Azure commented, gently touching the arms of the sofa. "This is actually a pretty nice place," he told her, beaming.

Ruby smiled. "Thanks," she said. Ruby looked around and sighed slightly. "So... what do you wanna do?" She asked. -
(Did you know the holes in cheese are called eyes 👀?
"Chat over some tea?" Azure asked goofily. "Well, actually, I don't like tea, so we could just chat over—Wait, I'm confusing myself." He frowned. -

Ruby chuckled. "We can have some coffee, if you like that." She suggested. -
(They’re always watching 👀)
"Yeah, I like coffee," Azure said, reclining in his spot on the sofa. -

Ruby nodded and strolled over to the kitchen where she got out two white mugs and placed them on the counter beside her. She then began to make the coffee. “What do you like in yours?” She asked Azure. -
"I usually like some cinnamon in mine," Azure told Ruby cheerfully, watching her earnestly. He’d never seen anyone make coffee, except for at Starbucks.

Ruby smiled. “Me too, except I like a bit of vanilla in mine.” She said. Ruby finally finished the coffee and poured the stacking liquid into the mugs, walking back over to the living room and handing one of them to Azure.

"Ooh, vanilla," he whistled. He gingerly picked up his mug and took a tenacious sip, being careful not to down it all at once. "This is good," he complimented Ruby.

Ruby smiled. “I’m glad you like it,” she said. She took a nice, long from her own mug and sighed. Delicious. She was even more glad to have Azure beside her, but she didn’t say that out loud.

Azure's coffee sloshed in his mug as he adjusted his place in the couch blissfully.
