Ruby caught Azure's note and a smile crawled onto her face as she read it. She wrote on the back of it: Sure! and tossed it stealthily back to Azure. She sat in her chair for the rest of the class, zoning out.
(Oh, what should the book be named? I honestly have no idea XD) -
(The Only Life, Nine Lives, the Second Life or Breaking the Fourth Wall)
Azure read the note carefully, brimming with excitement. A sudden thought dispelled his joy at once.
What are we going to do about Citra? he thought to himself. The jerk was probably busy bullying other people or something right this moment. -
(Ooh I like those! Wait, breaking the fourth wall? I love the name but I'm a bit confused about that one; does that happen in the storyline? idk, sorry)
Finally class ended and Ruby made her way quietly out of the classroom. She walked through the crowded hallways and down the front steps of the school and sat down on the bench where she would meet Azure so they could walk home from school together. -
(cuz u cant live two lives, and in greek myths if you do you lose all your memories but azure and ruby are keeping their memories when they get reborn)
The clouds shifted to protect the sun, occasional rays of light shining down on the road. Azure hefted his backpack and dropped it near the side of the bench with a relieved sigh and turned to face Ruby. "Hi," he said, smiling serenely. -
(Oh I see
I think I'll use that as the title then :)
Ruby turned toward Azure and smiled at him. "Hey Azure," she greeted. "How are you?" -
"I—er—uhm," Azure stammered. The sun beat on his chest, thumping expectantly, demanding an answer. His shoulders sagged in embarrassment that he had stammered. "I'm good, what about you?" he asked Ruby.
-
Ruby furrowed her eyebrows slightly at why Azure had stuttered, but she ignored it and smiled at him. "T-that's good t-to hear," she said, realizing that she was stuttering as well. Her face grew hot with embarrassment. "I'm doing well, t-thanks f-for asking."
-
Azure teased, "Stuttering is contagious. And it's good to hear that you're doing well," he said kindly, scooting aside to make more room for Ruby. "Where's Citra? Thought I got a hot Dumpster date for him today," he joked, leaning back against the hard red-brown brick wall of the school.
-
Ruby chuckled. "I don't know," she then said. "I haven't seen him yet today, which is odd."
-
Citra had gotten detention. Never in his life had he failed to escape detention, but it seemed today was not his lucky day. He murmured cuss words to himself with his head on the table while Ms. Ok, the supervisor, told him to hush up.
-
(lol sorry not sorry Citra)
Ruby glanced up at the sky. Then she glanced to Azure. "Do you wanna come to my house or something?" She asked him. -
"Yeah, that would be awesome!" he shouted eagerly. Then his face flushed and he repeated in his normal voice, "Yeah, that would be awesome."
-
Ruby blushed bright red at Azure's excitement to hang out with her. That made her unbearably elated, even if she didn't admit it. Ruby nodded and smiled, getting up from her seat. "Ready to go then?" She asked Azure as she stretched.
-
Sitting up, he grimaced at a cramp but ignored it. Azure nodded, following her like a puppy trails its owner.
-
Ruby smiled sheepishly and strolled home with Azure behind her. She stopped at her home; an old apartment painted grey, with bright yellow shutters and doors. Ruby cringed; she never particularly liked what colors her mother used to paint their house, but then again, they didn't have much money to afford better. Ruby walked up the metal stairs and used a key to open the front door to her home. She held out her arm, gesturing for Azure to enter.
