"Oh, uh my bad." Crystal said.

Ethan curtly nodded and started walking to his first class.

"What's your first class?" Crystal asked.

"English," he said.

"What a coincidence! I have the same class as well." she said.

"Not a surprise," Ethan muttered.

"Well to you maybe not, to me it is." she huffed.

"Well, you seem to always be wherever I am," Ethan said. They had arrived at the classroom.

"I guess fate did that to us then." she said.

"I don't believe in fate," Ethan said. They entered the classroom and Ethan said no more on the matter.

Crystal took a seat next to Ethan since that was the only available seat at the time.

The teacher started going on a monologue about adjectives and adverbs until a boy, one of the people that had been throwing balls at Crystal, said to the teacher, "Turn on the news." His voice was dead serious. He had his phone in his hand where he was watching it himself.
"Your phone is not - "
"This is serious, put it on."
After a quick minute the news was on the projector.
On the news was a picture of the boy who had knocked Crystal unconscious the day before, the one that Ethan had threatened.
The news reporter's voice spoke, "Seventeen-year-old Richard Cantrell was found dead in the dumpster next to *insert place* on *insert street*"
The screen was showing the police at the site of the crime analyzing it.
"If you have any information on this event, please contact the police right away."
The students who had been in the gym that day or had heard the rumor of what Ethan had done there tried to discretely look at him, but Ethan saw them. He only had his eyebrows raised. He knew he would be the top suspect. -
Crystal gasped. How could someone do such a thing to the poor boy? Sure he had refused to apologize, but he didn't deserve death!
She stared at Ethan and a chill ran down her spine. Crystal didn't think she trusted him that much anymore. -
After a few more seconds, the report ended and the teacher turned off the screen. She then urged the class to come forward with any information they might have to the police, just as the news lady had done.

Crystal stayed quiet. So THAT was why he was staying quiet all the time, it was because he killed someone.
