Sgrios fliched violently at the sudden touch, pulling his arms around himself defensively

Ray let out a soft "mrr?" of confusion and licked Sgrios's hand, nuzzling against him affectionately.

Sgrios slowly relaxed as he realised it was just a cat, before hesitantly petting it

Ray purred and crawled onto his legs, wanting a nice lap to sit on. Misty looked offended and made a very loud and pronounced huff as Wren tried to magic the chicken into completion.

Sgrios made a little squeaking noise at the cats actions, having not expected it

Wren returned with a slightly scorched chicken, setting it down on the living room table with thick oven mitts on. Misty ran over to investigate and she picked him up to keep him from stealing a piece.
"Food's done!" Wren said, patting Ray on the head as he became a tiny vibrating earthquake on Sgrios. -
Sgrios tilted his ears towards her voice when she spoke, still carefully petting the cat

Wren tore off a piece of chicken and handed it over to Sgrios. "I know it may seem savage, but trust me, chicken is way better when you don't use your manners."

Sgrios managed to grab it after a few misses, seeming hesitant

"Just a little bite?" Wren pleaded, giving Sgrios sad puppy eyes even though he couldn't see her.

Sgrios sensed her gaze and felt guilty, before hesitantly nibbling on the meat

Wren looked entirely pleased and made a satisfied "hm" noise before ripping off a piece and letting Misty eat it. The silvery dog nearly choked on the meat as he scarfed it down with enthusiasm, licking her fingers for any remnants.

Sgrios only ate a small bit before offering the rest to the cat

Ray ate it, making loud smacking noises as he ate. Misty jumped onto the couch, whining and sniffing Sgrios to see if he had missed any chicken.
