Wren's eyes widened. "Magic..," she murmured, touching the shackles and inspecting them closely. "An ancient kind that has not been seen for ages. Who...who did this to you?"
-
Sgrios flinched when she touched one of the shackles, drawing his arm closer to himself in fear as he made a little clicking sound in his throat
-
Wren took her staff and tapped it against the runes. A nasty jolt of electricity coursed through her and she jumped back. "Ow!"
-
Sgrios cried out in pain and alarm when she did that, scrambling away from her as he started crying in pain
-
The hairs on the back of Wren's neck stood up and she blinked quickly, darkness reaching at her peripheral vision. "I'm sorry! I'm so, so sorry."
-
Sgrios hiccuped as he sobbed, covering his head in a clear attempt to protect himself, his tail digging into his ribs as he panicked
-
Wren felt awful. He was acting like she'd just slapped him. She shifted his tail so that it was no longer digging at his ribs, afraid to do anything else.
-
Sgrios trembled harshly when she touched his tail, cowering away from her touch again as he cried
-
"Oh no, please don't cry. I'm really sorry," Wren said, her expression pained. She considered setting up an empathy link, but that problem wouldn't help at the moment.
-
Sgrios cried out in pain again as his magic tried to flair uo again, sinking his claws into himself as he curled up tighter
-
Wren just sort of sat there. Touching him and trying to comfort him didn't help. Talking apparently didn't either. She had absolutely no idea what to do.
-
Sgrios slowly started to calm back down as his magic was suppressed, exhaustion setting in as he started going limp
-
Wren put the blanket around him so that he wouldn't get cold and decided to give him a little alone time, bustling off to the kitchen. The few remaining sun rays winked at her from the table as she set a pot to boil. She needed tea. Lots and lots of tea.
-
Sgrios twitched as the blanket was placed on him, making a small noise before loosing his fight with unconscious and passing out
-
Wren opened the door and let Misty in. The stray cat strolled in after him, its tail waving serenely as it jumped onto the counter, sniffing around for a free meal. She mixed fish flakes with some water to make a sort of soup, which the feline gulped down rapidly, sloshing some over the sides of the bowl. She winced. She had just cleaned that counter.
