Mamita's expression softened. "What is it?" she asked.

“Do I like Callyn?” He asked, blushing at the thought of her.

Mamita looked into Turner's eyes then nodded. "Maybe something even stronger," she said.

Turners face turned deep red. “What do you mean stronger?!” He yelled.

Mamita clapped a hand over Turner's mouth to silence him, then brought him into the office and closed the door. It was as if the two of them had never been in the kitchen.
"Did you hear something?" Callyn asked. "Was that Turner?"
"I think so, but I don't know what he'd be doing in the kitchen," Carlos said. "I'll go check."
He returned a minute later. "I don't see him." -
Turner wiggles out of Mamita’s strong grasp. “What are you doing?!” He hissed.

"I'm guessing that Callyn doesn't know, and we don't need you yelling throughout the place," Mamita said. "Now, say that you love her. Right now, in front of me, say that you love Callyn."
"Huh," Callyn said. "I wonder what's keeping him."
"I don't know where Mamita went either," Carlos said. "She was just in the kitchen a few minutes ago." -
“I-I,” Turner stammered. “I don’t know!”

"Do it," Mamita said. "I can tell if you're lying or not."

“You little lie detector.” Turner muttered. “Fine, I love Callyn.”

Mamita got a gleeful look on her face and started babbling in Spanish extremely quickly.

Turner stared at her in confusion. “U-um, I guess your happy?” He said.

"You do!" Mamita finally said. "You do love her."

“Never again will I ask you anything.” He muttered.

"Why are you not happy?" Mamita asked, concern written on her face.
