“My tastebuds must be broken.” Turner said, a tad bit frustrated.

"They must be," she said. She looked at the time. "Do you think we should go now?" she asked.

“Yes, you head to the car and I’ll pay.” He said, getting up from the table to go pay.

She nodded. She had gotten robbed anyway, so it wasn't as if she could pay. She went to the car only to find the door locked.

Turner paid and went back outside. He gave Callyn a confused look. “Why aren’t you inside the car?” He asked.

"Because you locked it when you got out," she answered. "Like most people do."

“Oh, let me open that!” He said. He unlocked the car door and held it open for Callyn.

Callyn chuckled to herself and got in. When Turner got in she asked, "So how are we going to break this to him?"

“I’ll tell him straightforward. He can take surprises pretty well.” Turner answered, pulling out of the driveway.

"I guess that works," Callyn said.

A few minutes later, Turner pulled into the driveway. He grimaced as he saw his dads car. “He’s probably pissed that I’m home late.” Turner said with a sigh.

'It's early afternoon," Callyn said. "Late for what?"

“My curfew is 4:00pm. Early isn’t it?” He said, getting out of the car.

She looked at her watch. "Why so early?" she asked. She looked at her watch. "It's not even 2 yet."

“On these particular days, he wants me home at 1.” Turner said, shaking his head as he opened the front door.
