Here's what I came up with...
C1 is an alien from the planet Gruupa.
C2 is C3's BFF
C3 is C2's BFF
C1's home planet is attacked and she/he must flee to Earth. So he ends up crashing in C2's backyard.
C2 goes out to see what the ruckus is and see's C1. C2 is skeptical of C1 at first, but eventually believes C1.
C2 keeps the secret from C3, but she eventually finds out.
The aliens who invaded C1's planet want to take over Earth, so now C1, C2, and C3 have to stop them.
And the romance could be a love triangle, they could be a threesome, etc.
