“Well, your not going to get me anytime soon, so you better stop wasting your time.” Jewel said with an eye roll.

Lucifer peered at her. "We'll see about that," he said, and left.

She walked around and thought about what she said to Tessa and Adrian. She cringed at the thought and sat down, curling herself into a ball.

"He's out of her mind," Adrian said. "Does she wake up now?"
"Maybe," Kendril said. "Maybe not." -
Jewel opened one eye and peeked at Kendril and Adrian. She turned the other way and tried falling asleep, not wanting to face the damage she had caused between her and her friends.

Adrian saw that she was awake, but she had turned away from everyone. Was she shunning them? Was what she said really what she thought about them? He resisted the urge to leave the room. "Jewel?" he asked.

Jewel didn’t answer, praying that Adrian would think she was asleep, but she knew the chances of that were low. She sighed and turned to Adrian with a sad look on her face. “Yes?” She asked.

"A - Are you okay?" he asked.

Jewel sat up and looked at him with tears in her eyes. “Adrian, those things I said were horrible! I am very sorry about it! I understand if you don’t want to date me anymore.” She said, turning her head away from him so he wouldn’t see her crying.

Adrian held her in his arms. "I would never stop loving you," he said.

Tears streamed down Jewels face as she buried her face in Adrians shoulder. “Why would you love me after all those horrible things I said?” She asked in a whisper.

The truth was Adrian had been heartbroken when she had told him those things, that she'd never love a killer. "Love shines on no matter what," he said.

She looked up at Adrian and smiled. “Thank you Adrian, I don’t know what I would do without you.” She said. -

"Do you want to go finish our date?" Adrian asked. "I understand if you don't." -
“Sure, I just need to find Tessa and apologize to her. I know I hurt her feelings.” Jewel said as she got up from the bed.
