Well, she could see his face in old pictures? No, Jewel had known that it would make her burst into tears just looking at Max's pictures, she wanted to see his actual face.

"Alright," Kendril said. "We're going to have to get her out of the contract as soon as possible."

Jewel didn't know how to say it, but she said it anyways. "What if.... I didn't want to get out of the contract." she said.

They all whipped their heads towards her, obviously looking for an explanation as to why she said that.

"What if, I stayed in the contract and my brother could live." she said.

"If you stayed in the contract," James said, "You would basically bring about Armageddon. Max wouldn't survive."

"He could stay with me and survive."

"After Armageddon it's basically either heaven or hell for the lot of us," Henry said. "There's no guarantee you two would be in the same place."

"I could make sure we both end up in the same place." she said,

"How," Adrian said. "You can't possibly have that ability. Only God does."

"I'll be evil or good, however Max acts." she said.

"And what if he doesn't act like anything?" Tessa asked. "What then? I'm sorry, but there's too much at stake here."

"Then I won't act like anything."

"And what about me?" Adrian asked. "I don't mean to sound selfish, but just answer it."

"Well, I don't know then. But despite what you all say, I'm getting my brother back." she said.
