Jewel didn't get up from the floor. She just laid down on it. Sometimes floors are very comfortable when you're feeling sad.

Henry found Adrian in his room. "What the devil do you think you're doing breaking up with Jewel?!" he said.
"Keeping her safe," Adrian said, turning away from his friend. -
Jewel stalked out of her room and headed straight for the kitchen. She took some ice-cream out of the freezer and grabbed a spoon, then she walked back to her room while shoving ice-cream into her mouth.

"But what about her feelings?" Henry asked. "She's sitting in her room right now crying her eyes out. What about her happiness?"
"She can't be happy if she's dead - if I kill her." -
Jewel sat on her bed and ate some more ice-cream. Her eyes were red, and her hair was a mess from laying on the floor.

Henry gave a noise of exasperation and walked towards the bedroom door. "Well I personally think that this is one of the stupidest things you've ever done," he said before walking out the door.

Jewel eventually ate enough of the ice-cream that it made her feel a little sick, so she closed the tub and put it back in the freezer.

Jewel came across Tessa on her way back to her room. She rolled her eyes and was about to walk around Tessa.

"Hold up," Tessa said, holding her hand up. "What's this I heard about you and Adrian?"

Jewel sucked in a breath before saying, "He broke up with me."

"So Henry was telling the truth," she murmured. The louder she said, "Look, Jewel, when Adrian thinks he's dangerous or.unforgivable or something like that he.isolates himself. He cuts himself off completely. His mindset is that then he won't be able to hurt the people he loves."

Jewel stayed quiet. "I already said I'd love him no matter what. If he wants to do that, it's his choice." she said quietly before she walked away.
