"Pretty much the only way we'd be able to get him back is with words of persuasion," Kendril said.

"Fine, I suppose we could do that." she said.

"Jewel," James said, "You have to remember that we can talk to him, but in the end it's his decision."

"Alright," Kendril said, "so who's going to go get Adrian?" -
Jewel immediately raised her hand. "Me." she said.

"I'll go," Henry said.
"So will I," Kendril said.
Tessa and James decided to stay.
"You two will be able to handle yourselves while we're gone?" Kendril asked.
"Come now, we're both many millennia old," Tessa said. "I'm sure we can take care of ourselves."
