Winifred watched his feet from her spot under the couch, shivering as she tried to shake out her fur. She looked arojnd for something to dry herself and spotted a blanket, starting to sneek her way over to it

Dock started setting the table for one, letting the soup cook for a while. It was at this moment that he noticed small, shining wet markings all over his floor.

Winifred peeked out from behind a shelf to look at the blanket, glancing up at the human to make sure he wasnt looking before darting under the blanket

He heard a zoomie noise and whipped around, his eyes narrowing suspiciously at his now-lumpier fluffy blanket. Hoping that he hadn't gone mad, he reached his hand out to lift it up.

Winifred shivered under the blanket, her waterlogged fur rappidly soaking the blanket. She squeaked in fear when the blanket was lifted, bolting for the shelf to hide

Dock stumbled back in surprise at the sight of the strange creature. It squeaked in fear and he felt an odd pang of sympathy. "Hey, no, it's okay," he said in a gentle voice, setting the blanket down. "I'm not gonna hurt you."

Winifred managed to get behind the shelf somehow, as the space was to small for her to have realisicly fit. She chittered at him nervously, staying where she had hidden herself

Dock sat down on the floor, puzzling over the pinkish little creature that had snuck into his house. He wasn't sure what to do with it.

Winifred started shivering again, sneezing quietly as she tried to shake some more water out of her fur

Dock pushed the blanket gently towards the place where she was hiding.

Winifred glanced at him before hesitantly crawling out and under the blanket

Dock smiled. "There we go, that's better, isn't it?" he said softly. "I'll go see if you want chicken noodle soup."

Winifred poked her head out, her nearly invisible wiskers twitching as she looked at him with wide pleading eyes

Dock filled up a shallow dish with as much soup as it could hold, setting in front of her.
