The serphentine creatures gaze softened in amusment, then they very carefully picked her up "Well, Cinna. I am the Lord of Shades. But you may call me Ghost, little one" they said calmly

"Ghostie, ghost," Cinna sang. "I like you! You nice, big lizard man."

Ghost laughed softly, their eyes squinting closed for a moment "I'm glad you do little Cinna" they said as they lifted themselves off tge ground, wanting to show the little brightling to their friend

Cinna started singing a song about flowers, bobbing her head to the rhythm.

Ghost started slithering through the air towards Shadows den

Stretching his legs and wings, he then bent his neck down into the small dip for a drink of water.

"Shadow!" Ghost 'shouted' as they approached the hydras lair. Dispite their voice not seeming any louder, it defenetly traveled further

He grunted, before straining his ears to hear Ghost's voice. "Ye?" He replied, his five heads looking up.

Cinna tucked a flower into her hair. "Pretty," she commented.

Ghost held up the child with two hands "k found a baby!" the ancient being said excitedly, sounding seeming rather childish as he did

Cinna kicked her feet in the air happily. "I no baby! I a girl!"

He looked only to see a disgusting, grubby, greedy little fleshy child. "No," He snarled. "You know she can't be here. One, she'll die. Two, most of the air is toxic. Three, you know I hate humans! Especially children! In fact, she looks like a tasty snack..."

Ghost drew Cinna close to their chest, their softer spines becoming razor sharp as they hissed angrily. "touch her and i will rip you to shreds like i did that b---- moth"

He snorted through laughter. "Relax, old pal!" He calmly heaved. "But, seriously. She can't be here, okay?"

"But I nice," Cinna said sadly.
