"Wow! That's impressive," Owlpaw replied, her tail waving in interest. "You're going to make a great medicine cat, I know it!"

She purred, but then her face fell. "Hawkpaw is still upset I'm not a warrior."

"Well, Hawkpaw needs to suck it up. It's your future, not hers," Owlpaw said grimly.

She sighed. "Hawkpaw is mad at me for... other reasons, too. The inevitable. It's not even my fault. But grief can make cats that way."

"Grief? I don't know what you're talking about, Pyropaw," Owlpaw said, her eyes wide and confused.

She shook herself out. "I don't know if I'm allowed to tell you or not."

"If you don't know, don't tell me," Owlpaw said. "It's probably better for me not to know."
Holloweyes licked her stomach. "I want one to be named Bunnykit and one to be named Rabbitkit," she decided, purring and licking Harechase's cheek. "After you!"
Harechase smiled sadly, his eyes dim and his expression bittersweet. "Of course, if that's what you want." -
"Yeah, but I don't like hiding things from you." She mewed. She had never hid anything from Owlpaw. She knew literally everything.

Owlpaw purred and nuzzled Pyropaw's cheek. "Hey, don't worry about it. I don't really want to know anyway."

She nodded. "You'll know at the right timing."

Owlpaw nodded in understanding as they entered camp.

Pyropaw padded over to Skypaw. "Hi."

Skypaw had a mouthful of sunny marigold and set it down when he saw Pyropaw. "Hi, Pyropaw! What's up?"

She giggled. "The sky."

Skypaw flicked his tail amusedly. "I mean OTHER than the sky. What's up with you?"
