Bluefly left her kits under the competent care of Cherryfall, who was more than happy to have more kits to look after. Her two kits, Peachpaw and Berrypaw, were almost ready to be apprentices.
She went in search of her mate and found him on the sunning rocks, jumping up to curl up next to him. Bluefly nuzzled him and purred, resting her head on his shoulder. -
Drakestorm relaxed and purred, licking her nose. "Where are the kits?" He asked.
-
"With Cherryfall," Bluefly said, snuggling up against Drakestorm. "I just felt like it's been a while since we had a little "us" time."
-
"Me too." He mewed. "How are you feeling?"
-
"Honestly? Exhausted," Bluefly laughed. "The kits are all strong for being born at an early age. StarClan was watching over us."
-
He purred in agreement and affection for his mate.
-
Bluefly nuzzled against him, putting one paw around him and laying her head on his dark pelt, purring.
-
Drakestorm rubbed his head against her fur affectionately.
-
Bluefly fell asleep, her tail intertwined with his. Cottonkit decided that the other kits seemed to be having fun playing with a mossball and immediately went to go play.
-
He put his head on her paws and let himself fall asleep under the heat of the warm sun.
-
Bluefly began to dream, but this time it wasn't a nightmare. Her kits were grown and bounded around joyously as apprentices. Her heart was bursting with pride.
-
Drakestorm dove headfirst into a dream of stars and trees. Was this... StarClan again? But why?
-
Bluefly watched as snow began to coat the clearing that she and her kits were in. Icekit was rolling and playing in the snow with a darkly colored tom and the other were no longer there.
-
Cats formed from the stars, pale and unrecognizable. And there were too many. Too, too many... what were they murmuring about? He tried to hear, but couldn't make out the words.
-
"Icekit, come here," Bluefly said nervously, slapping her tail impatiently on the ground. The silvery she-cat blinked curiously at her mother. The tom looked Bluefly up and down, his red eyes shimmering with amusement.
"And why can't I spend time with my granddaughter?" he said with a chuckle.
