Ander brushed Crypta's hair back and hugged her. "Hey hey, it's okay. I believe in you."
"Well, you shouldn't!" Crypta protested. "I'm dumb, Ander. Proto was my creation and if it weren't for me," she hiccuped loudly. "You would all be safe and you'd be free by now." -
Kieran walked to the cell door and reached his arm around one of the bars, typing in the 16 digit code. He walked out of the cell and relocked it, then he walked back up the stairs.
Kenna laid down on the ground sobbing into her arms. She was heartbroken. -

Iris was lifting up boxes, trying to think of the least disgusting combination possible. Anything would be better than the nutritious gloop that was Linnus's custom.
She looked up as Kieran entered the room. "So how'd it go?" she asked calmly, as if he'd just gone for an interview.

"I can't stand it," Crypta cried quietly. "I can't..."
Robo whimpered and nudged his nose against the metal door. Night was falling quickly, but he began to think of how to do what his master could not. -
"It took some persuasion, but she believes everything I said," Kieran said. He sat down on the bed with his right foot on the edge of it and put his arm on his knee.

"I'll bet she did," Iris said, reading the contents of a box before tossing it aside. "Well, unless you're in the mood for egg jello or something equally nasty, dinner isn't looking too great."

Robo took the device in his jaws and delicately placed it against the metal canister, filling through all of the possible outcomes for a six digit code. -
"They really need to rethink their menu," Kieran said as he stood off the bed.
After a while Kenna gathered herself together with a sigh. She moved her hair away from her face and leaned back against the cold hard walls wiping the tears off her eyes. -
Iris made a sharp sort of huffing noise. "You could say that again," she said, a loose strand of hair falling out of place as she sifted through more boxes.

"What do you expect to find, gold?" Kieran asked as he walked towards Iris and the boxes.

Iris laughed. "Something like that, yes."

"It would be an absolute miracle if you did," Kieran said.

Iris searched for a moment and let out a happy exclamation. "Good as gold! I've found us some bacon."

"Bacon's better than gold," Kieran said, looking into the box.

"Because we can eat it!" Iris said, pulling out the air-tight package of bacon . "Now where are the frying pans in this place...?"

"I've never been here," Kieran said. "I wouldn't know."

Iris tucked the stray strand hair behind her ear, only for it to fall out of place again. She let out an annoyed huff and blew on it to make it fly out of her face, searching for something to cook with.
