~The next day~
Summer skips away from her pack and towards the woods and where she met Hina. She starts humming her favorite song again. She had a plan for how to make a friendship with Hina. First, she needed to get to know her. -
Hina wasn't given as many chores today because there was a festival going on soon and they needed to choose who would dance to ward off evil spirits. Hina sat on the steps with her legs crossed waiting for summer.

I get closer to the spot and see Hina sitting on the steps. I smile at her, and wave. -

Hina looked at summer and huffed "took you long enough." Hina said before standing. Hina hated waiting for anything considering the last time she waited the humans built a shrine around her resting place trapping her inside to grant wishes for the god of death. -
“S-sorry, I got lost” Summer mumbles as she walks up and stands in front of Hina. There is an uncomfortable silence for a moment.

"well? What do humans do with friends?" Hina asked impatiently while tapping her foot. She didn't like akward silences or waiting.

Summer thinks for a moment. ’What do humans do with friends?’. She was a wolf, not a human. Wolves usually played tag and hanged out and playfully fighted. But Hina probably didn’t do that type of stuff. “Hmmm, how about we just talk for a little bit? Get to know each other?” She says.

"wow, I didn't know mortals were so boring." Hina said. "Well, if that's what you want to do I'm obliged to talk to you." Hina continued.

Summer smirks. “What else do we do? Playfully fight? I’m a wolf, remember? I don’t do human things much.” Summer says, kicking a pebble across the floor.

"well, I'm obligated to do whatever you require me to do as your supposed "friend." Hina said look looking at summer with a rare brand of disdain.

Summer felt a little anxious. This wasn’t working. How could she gain Hina’s trust? “Well...what do you like to do?” She asks.

"I like watching the festivals, especially the dances, and I like walking in the woods, though I can't do that very often." Hina said. She never really could go anywhere without the barrier forcing her inside shocking her half to death. -
Summer also liked walking in the woods. But it wasn’t common when she had her stupid duties watching over the kids. “I like to walk in the woods, too...” she mumbles.
