"That's good, I used to live in the woods at one point. Would you believe that mortal?" Hina said. She still missed sleeping in the lush grass and catching small mammals in her yokai form. -
“Of course! The woods are so beautiful, all the Flowers and animals and it’s quiet..” Summer recalled a lot of memories of when she did go in there. “I wish I had more time to be in there like the old days...”

"I wish I could just go there normally, but walking anywhere beyond the stones creating the shrine causes immense power loss." Hina said as if summer would understand

Summer was a little surprised, but she looked at Hina and felt a little sorry. At least she could still go in there normally. Hina couldn’t. She wished that it was different, that her friend could walk in the woods with her, enjoy nature with her. Summer sighs. “It would be fun to walk in the woods with you. I wouldn’t feel so alone...”

"I still remember how beautiful the hibiscus was and the wild orchids." Hina said with a reminiscing look on her face. She knew it was never gonna happen in eight hundred years.

Summer nodded. They are very beautiful. She’d past them when she walked in the woods once in a while. “Why exactly did you get stuck here?” Summer asked, slightly curious.

"well one day after fighting a particularly pushy yokai for the forest I decided to take a nap. While I slept the death god Alexei decided to play a trick on me by having the people build a shrine around me while I slept. Then he appointed me as the keeper of this shrine and as a yokai I was unable to reject." Hina said

’oh goodness!’ Summer thinks, bewildered. “That’s probably not much fun!” Summer says. That reminds her of a trick that was played on her by some rude wolves in her pack. “Some cruel wolves in my pack had played a trick on me...long story short, they nearly took my eye out.” Summer says out loud, Pushing her hair out of her face, showing the scar.

"family members... Do they usually do such things?" Hina asked with a bewildered look. Kitsunes like her rarely stayed with other kitsunes even less likely if you were related to them. Mothers hated their children and siblings were quick to attack each other.

“Nope! These were just rude cousins...”Summer says to the bewildered Hina, trying to calm her expression. Summer moves her hair back to it’s original position.

"Cousins? What's a cousin?" Hina asked. She'd only heard of brothers sisters and mothers. Hina wondered if her spiteful siblings were laughing at her for being trapped in a shrine. -
“Just to keep it simple, a mother who has a sibling who has a child.” Summer didn’t have any easier way to explain what a Cousin is. She sighs deeply and rubs her temples.’So much to process’. She thinks. “So...let’s get to more easier questions. What’s your age?”.

"Oh about 1600, or sixteen if you're talking human age counting, because in the yokai world a day here is a week there." Hina said Hina never really kept time herself.
