Myriad sat at the top of the ladder and watched her

When Kate realized he was there, she scrambled away. "Gah! What are you doing here?"

Myriad shrugged and leaned his arms on the roof "dont have anything better to do then listen to the f---s down there

Kate stared at him critically for a moment, before relaxing. "Huh. What do you think about all of this?"

Myriad hummed quietly and drummed his fingers on the roof. "Honestly i could care less. The b------ is dead, and he was the worst of all of them.

"Yeah, I guess," Kate said. "Why did you do it?"

Myriad lifted an eyebrow at her "hm?

"Why did you kill people?" Kate asked.

He shrugged "depends on the context. Usually because its simply the easiest and least painful path to follow

"You killed people because you didn't want to feel any pain?" Kate said.

Myriad nodded "yeah. Obey orders, and you dont get punished. Is that so hard to understand?

"But...that's heartless," Kate said. "Have you ever loved anybody?"

"I loved mother. But thats the only person i can remember." Myriad said honestly

"If you loved her..," Kate said. "Never mind. It doesn't really matter, does it?"

Myriad just shrugged
