Kate huffed, her hands sassily planted on her hips. "Look, I don't CARE what rank you are. You stay out of my business and don't ask questions, got it?"
Being in a gang might've been a mistake, if not for the protection and resources it provided. But she wasn't exactly the social type. -
The second in command glared at her "you should have gotten here when we called you, nothing should have been more important!" He snarled at her in anger

"If I did, I wouldn't have gotten those resources I was sent after," Kate snapped. "I'm here NOW, aren't I? Isn't that good enough for you?"

He glared at her for a few seconds "we're not done with this" he hissed as a the last few members of the gang entered the building. He then looked up at Myriads hidding place "Rat! Get down here! Now!" He shouted, and Myriad scrambled for the ladder down

Kate folded her arms and stepped back, watching Myriad. She didn't know what to make of him, honestly.

The second in command watched Myriad for a few seconds before turning his attention to the gathered gang. "Alright sense your all here now, ive got some news for ya! The Boss is dead! That means i'm in charge! Any objections?"

"Actually, yeah," Kate said. "According to tradition, Myriad is supposed to be the new leader."

"Thats true, but does anyone actually want this little freak leading anyone?!?!" He said, grabbing Myraid by the back of the neck when he got close, lifting him into the air and making him squirm

"Put him down!" Kate said. "You make me sick. I'd rather have Myriad as my leader than you."

He glared at her, and it appeared most if not all of the older members of the gang shared his opinion as he tossed the scrawny kid aside "oh you think that hu? You would want the kid, who killed his own mother and anyone he was told to, as a leader. I could tell him to kill you right now and he would to it without hesitation" he hissed

"Is that supposed to scare me?" Kate said, unafraid. "Your threats can't hurt me. That's why I'm here. Or have you forgotten?"

"Doesnt matter. Your out voted" he snapped as Myriad got off the floor. "As of now im in charge, so you listen to me now! First order of buisness! Theres another group setting up down town that needs taking out.

Kate glared at him. She climbed up the ladder to the roof. She couldn't bear being in his overpowering presence.

Myriad watched her go in silence. After a few seconds he slipped away from the group and followed her

Kate buried her face in her hands. Maybe she could leave, find a new group? Or...or...
She didn't know what to do.
