Harper chuckled. "I can't say I see myself as a Timothy," he said.

"And why not?" Crypta protested with a smile.

He pointed to his head. "My hair's too light."

"Why can't you be a light-haired Timothy?" Crypta said.

"Well, maybe a 'Timmy' but that's as Timothy as I'll ever get," Harper said.

"What about a David?" Crypta offered.

"Dunno," Harper said. He never realized how particular he was about this sort of thing until now.

"Alright then, you can come up with one," Crypta said. "What's a name that sounds inconspicuous?"

Haper shrugged. He wouldn't know.

"Ooh ooh!" Crypta said, clapping her hands together. "What about Charlie or Charles?"

Harper cocked his head in thought. "Probably Charlie," he said.

"Charlie Johnson?" Crypta said, imagining it. "That might work."

"Yeah," Harper said.

"So, Charlie Johnson," Crypta began in a ridiculous accent. "How art thou?"

Harper smiled and raised his eyebrows. "You really want to go into a Middle English battle with me?" he asked.
