"He's a good guy, pretty chill, really good-looking" Trixie sighed as she looked at him "He's really something, you know?"
As the group ensued, Alex stopped and rusted the keys from an orge in a door. He walked in, closed the door, and walked out. Confused, the fairy shushed and motioned to wait. As Alex searched the doors, he walked down the hall. Stopping abruptly, Alex knocked on the door three times, and drew a sigil on it with his finger. The door creaked open, revealing a dark elf in restrains. "What's your name?" Alex asked, stepping in. "mY nAmE... iS R Y E..." -
For some reason, Rose felt a bit afraid of the elf. He seemed unstable; a quality which she feared and could not trust.

The dark elf stood up, his figure long and slim. He made his way to the door, and into the hall. He stood up straight, and began to stretch his arms. The whole time, Alex never took his eyes off him.
"That's everyone" Alex sighed, using his staff to draw a portal on the wall "So, where are we going?" But before he could finish, an ogre shouted at them, hundreds of ogre voices echoing the first. Alex finished the portal, and instructed the elves to flee while they held off the ogres. He kicked the ground with his heel, the ground spiking up and heading for the stampede of ogres. Smiling, he did it once more. This time, he did it with the side of his foot, and as the attack came closer to the orges, it grew bigger -
Rose hesitated before hopping into the portal. "Are you sure you don't need any help?"

"If you want you can fight, but we gotta close the portal so choose" Trixie growled as she unsheathed her blade

Rose looked between her family and the ogres. "I'll help you fight!"

The portal closed as Rose stepped back, and Trixie rammed herself into a group of 3 ogres, knocking them all off their feet

Rose picked up two rusty shackles and swung them around masterfully, having practiced with such things in the woodlands. Violence was not approved back at home, but sometimes you had to fight fire with fire.
She set an exceptionally long pair spinning at an ogre. It tangled around their legs and sent them crashing to the floor. -
As the three fought, more and more ogres appeared. His eyes burning, the young mage let out a bate cry as he slammed his staff into the ground. A large ripple effect happened, fire headed in all directions. The fire avoided Trixie and Rose, but they could still feel the heat

Rose looked at Alex with surprise and a bit of admiration. How could someone be THAT powerful? It was beyond her understanding, and she wondered if maybe she could learn to do the things he did.

"Quickly, we must flee while we can" Alex told them as he created another portal, to a different place than before. He jumped through, disappearing into the spell. Trixie watched one hallway, waiting for Rose to continure

Rose gave Trixie a nod of thanks before jumping into the portal. She felt a strange sensation, it was so unexpected that it made her sort of queasy. Finally, she came out on the other end.

Alex jumped through, and Trixie behind him. As the two landed on the other side, Quickly closing the portal, Alex waved his arms. He went to help Trixie get up, but she wasn't moving. Blood began to spread in a pool, horror and realization hitting Alex. They had missed someone, who shot her in the arrow with an arrow as they jumped

"Is it a poisoned arrow?" Rose asked, realizing what had happened. "If it is, we have to get it out NOW."

"no, she's gone.... it hit her after we came out" Alex pointed to the arrow, and how it had been cut in half when the portal closed. It hit her before she hit the ground, and she died upon impact
