Mintpaw tilted her head in confusion. "Well... you have to get close to them. Like...me and Adderpaw are good friends, right? You can tell that because we spend time together and enjoy each other's company."

Mintpaw hesitated. I don't want to invade his privacy, but it would be easier to help him if I know who. "But...I can figure out if they like me if you tell me who it is."

Sandpaw narrowed her eyes. Yeah, sure. 'Just gathering herbs.' Pfft.

Reedfloat glared at the apprentice, “Whatever you say,” he muttered as he whipped around and padded back into the brush.
Whalepaw hissed, Reedfloat was walking in her direction! With a yelp, Reedfloat tripped over her and landed on his face. Whalepaw screeched and ran up the nearest tree, determined not to get caught. -
Sandpaw watched amusingly at Reedfloat and Whalepaw. Ha. Wait till I tell everyone about that. Figuring that she was wasting her time here, Sandpaw stalked into the trees and scented for prey.
Just before she could crouch into position, she heard paw-steps behind her, and immediately knew who it was. She turned around, groaning. -
Finpaw sighed, flicking his tail anxiously. "Would you promise not to tell anyone?"

"I promise." Mintpaw murmured. For some reason she felt her tail moving slowly closer to his.

As she expected, Sandpaw saw Deathclaw in front of you. He glared straight through her soul. "Adderpaw is still alive! Why can't you do what you're told!?" "I tried getting him at battle practice.." Sandpaw mumbled an excuse. He flicked his tail. He must be dead by tonight, or you will be dead instead. He unsheathed his claws into the ground. Turning, he bounded back to camp.
