Okay then

I'll start. It's going to be a long post.

Jenna walked into the haunted house. It's wasn't really haunted, of course, and it really was more of a mansion. She was just going to spend the night in it to prove a point to her friends. When she had told them she was going to do that, Lauren had said in a high-pitched voice, "It's going to be all over the news how Jenna Mayen went missing!" Honestly, 16 year olds in the 21st century should know better than haunted houses and the like.
It wasn't what you'd expect from a hundred year old mansion. Everything was in pretty good shape. The only things that weren't were some of the windows, broken by rowdy boys throwing rocks at it, some of the chairs and couches that had become home to mice families, faded paintings, and a century's worth of dust covering everything. Jenna could almost imagine a stately-looking woman done up in lace and ribbons being hostess to a couple of guests.
Jenna went up the winding staircase and put her bag on the bed of a small guest bedroom. There was no reason for her to use the master bedroom. She took a few things out of her bag, and found her swiss army knife. She put it in her pocket. She didn't know if she was going to need it while exploring the mansion. -
Yukio walked with his barrack. This was the one he was assigned and the one that would eventually kill him when he became unloyal at the age of 50.
-
Jenna decided to go into the cellar first. It was absolutely empty besides what might've been a jar of some sort of jam. She went up into the attic. She went through the trunks of old clothes, family portraits, trinkets, jewelry boxes, and the like. A family of five had lived in the house. A husband and a wife, two boys and a girl. After she finished that, she went on the main floor. There was nothing of interest there.
Then she went the the upper floor. She looked through every bedroom. Under the bed, in the closet, everywhere. There wasn't much. She was starting to get disappointed in the house. Then she went into the master bedroom and found the same result, until she went into the wardrobe, and found a plain wooden box. -
Yukio wondered what life was like for the people chosen for civilian life like his friend Helios. Helios was plenty strong enough to be in the barracks but he was honorarily chosen for civilian life. He couldn't help but wonder who Helios's family unit would be.

Jenna sat on the bed and set the box in front of her. She slowly opened it. It was empty. She ran her hand along the inside of it until her hand released a hidden catch in it, and she was sort of sucked into the box.
She was going through a portal. There were streaks of violet and cyan blue all around her. She was flung into a portal room. It was really the only way to describe it. It was as if there was an invisible barrier holding the sides of the portal back to form a room. Jenna was suspended in the air, if there is in fact air in a portal, by seemingly nothing. There was a golden light in the portal-room, almost like the sun. It was brilliantly bright. Then it suddenly rushed towards Jenna, and entered her body. Maybe diffused is a better word. It seeped into her skin quicker than blinking. Not that Jenna could blink.I
Whatever was holding her in place went away, and Jenna sped through the portal once again. Then she landed on the hard ground with a loud thud.
She had reached whatever the portal's destination was. She stood up. She looked at her arms to see if she was injured in anyway, and gave a sharp gasp. Jenna looked like she was pulsing with fire. She moved her thick dark hair out of the way to look around her, and froze.
She was literally right in the middle of a war. -
(Wow. It looks like I'm feeling very descriptive today.)
-
Suddenly their barrack got a telegram, they were going to the battle as re-enforments. Yukio rushed with his barrack buddies to the battle where in the middle of it all day a shiny girl.
-
Jenna spun around quickly to see what was happening. She didn't know what to do. No one was fighting; everyone was looking at her.
-
Yukio could feel the stillness in the air as he stared at the glowing girl. Suddenly the general of barrack headquarters spoke. "Shining goddess why are you here and what are you doing?" He said. Now that yukio thought about it the more that made sense, she appeared out of nowhere and was glowing.
-
Jenna whipped towards the voice. Goddess? she thought. If only her skin wouldn't glow. They thought she was a godess! She stared, wide eyed, around her. She didn't know where she was, what to do, or anything.
-
Suddenly the head of the rivals spoke. "Great shining goddess, please bless us humble revolutionists, for even if we are fighting they are very wrong, they force us into specific jobs and specific families and will kill us when we turn fifty!" The rival leader said.
