"why are you helping me?" Norman said.

"Because you're my friend, you doof," she said good manneredly, handing him the plate. "You're going to need stitches."

"all I did was help you notice how stupid jumping was." Norman said.

"Well, that means more than you think," Adria said. "Here, take these. They're painkillers."

Norman reluctantly took the painkillers and thought about the roof again.

Adria put a towel under his side and began to stitch him up, her focus careful and straight.

Norman watched her stich up his cuts.

Once she had tied the last knot, she cleaned his wounds up. "I wish I could have done better," she said anxiously.

"it's fine." Norman said standing up.

Adria watched him carefully. "You can sleep here. I'll sleep on the couch."

"nah I'll go Back home." Norman said.

"You can't go back there," Adria insisted. "What if they hurt you again?"

"if they do anything else people would get suspicious." Norman said.

"You have to stay here," Adria said. "I don't want them to harm you again. You need to heal."

"if I'm not home in the morning it will only get worse." Norman said as he started walking towards the door.
