Adria frowned. "You should stay with us. Whoever you're living with now doesn't seem very nice."

"those are my parents you're talking about." Norman said.

Adria went silent. "Sorry," she said after an awkward silence.

"it's fine, but that's also why I can't leave, they're my legal guardians." Norman said.

"But they hurt you," Adria said, feeling his back for any broken bones.

"you think I don't know that. That's why I was up on the roof." Norman said.

"You need to tell the police," Adria said, gingerly removing shards of glass from his back. "They're abusing you."

"I've tried, the police believe them more than me." Norman said.

"Then record them. For God's sake, we need to get to a hospital!" Adria said, trying to help lift Norman up.

"do you think I haven't tried?" Norman asked.

"They have to believe us," Adria said. "Now let me take you back to my house so you can heal properly."

Norman wanted to oppose, but it would be best to have his injures bandaged.

Adria helped Norman up, slinging on of his arms over her petite shoulders.

Norman tried his best to walk.

Adria managed to get Norman back to her house. She took him up to her room and disappeared downstairs. She came back up with some medical supplies and some warmed up pelmeni.
