It is 2XXX, and the Earth has hit its peak in technology. Humanity has mastered the art of genetically engineering all living things; medicine has been improved tremendously, and health is at its prime; many jobs have been improved by machinery to better help humans complete their tasks.
Just about everything is controlled through a high-tech system. Every citizen has a digital I.D. stored in a chip, usually located in the wrist. These I.D.s are important to everyone's life; within them is everything needed. Medical information, money, credentials, criminal records, everything. The general public calls this "the System."
The System is almost perfect... Almost. After all, technology has been known to have imperfections and malfunctions. Conspiracy theorists assume that the glitches occurring throughout the System are no accident, however. They believe that the government is intentionally manipulating the System in order to get what they want in almost any situation. People are going missing, criminals are getting away with high-offense crimes, and the economy seems to be crashing harder than it ever has before. The Elite are forever elite, and there is no way for others to climb to the top.
You are a young adult from one of the less fortunate neighborhoods. As a young child, you glorified the System and believed that it was the key to a Utopian society. However, with more and more crimes being swept under the rug, you feel as if there is something being hidden by the government.
One day, you receive a digital invitation to attend a ball being hosted by an unknown Elite. Normally, only the richest people are invited to these balls. But the mail is addressed to you, and it somehow found its way to your home. You decide to attend despite your confusion and doubts. After all, you can't help but feel as if their presence is the start of something big...
All characters should be one of the following: human, cyborg (part robot in some way), or an android/robot. However, your character can have cool physical traits like pointy elf ears, since genetic enhancement technology is very advanced! You can also feel free to make your own "undercover Elite" character if you'd like, or the child of an Elite.

I'd love for you to join! I have no intentions of being super uptight about things, so it's totally okay if you have to take it step by step. I'm happy to help where I can. :) The beauty of roleplays is that we can make things up as we go!

Name: Cozmia Astra

Sexuality: Pan
Age: 19
Species: Cyborg
Appearance: a small figure with two leg, arm, and right side of the face, wearing a black suit and a cloak with a hood. The human side of the face has a long black-to-purple ombre hairstyle, robot side is just a metal head.
Brief History: Cozmia was the only survivor in a terrible spaceship crash, but didn't escape without nearly fatal wounds. She had to have her left leg, right leg and arm replaced, along with the whole right side of her body.
Weapons/Gadgets: A crossbow that shoots lasers
Enhancements/Modifiers: She has small rocket boosters on her ankles that allow her to jump farther, higher, and longer. She can't fly though, and if she's falling it'll only slow the fall.
Other: nothing, except she's obsessed with the dragons of ancient legends and lizards. -
