Max had to focus for a moment before he pinpointed where the sounds were coming from. He crouched low and advanced slowly. After a moment, he saw the source of the noise: A white haired man with a sword, and a leopard. While he wasn't sure of what the man was, he knew that leopard was certainly a witch.

(Will is still asleep.)

Cross bristled, his eyes glowing for a moment "dont be so sure about that!" He snapped before darted forward to attack her

She lunged at him, yowling, and dived to avoid his blade, spinning around and slashing at him with her claws.

Max watched as the boy— which he now recognized as the Hunter he saw earlier— started an attack. He kept himself hidden and kept his distance, curious to see how the fight would turn out.

Nala was starting to wake up in the mind but outside she still couldn't move

Cross started to turn to block her claws, but couldnt move fast enough. Instead, what happened was his sword vanishing from his grip to reappear where her claws would have struck, blocking the strike as he finished his twisting motion and caught the sword. He then twisted tge blade to try to cut her paw

She let out an anguished growl as blood trickled out of one of her paws, her eyes crazed with pain. She jumped onto him, in an attempt to pin him down. She couldn't stand the thought of losing and Nala being caught.

The second Max saw the witch leap towards the man, he bolted out of hiding, stepping into view of them both. "Get off of him, you witch!" He shouted, yanking his sword from its sheath and pointing it towards Akka. -
Nala could hear everything outside but she couldn't wake up
