Cross looked around once he entered the forest to make sure no one had followed him before he lifted a hand and closed his eyes. He focused on sensing nearby souls, ignoring the ones in the town for now as he tried to locate the other town -
Akka felt her fur bristling. Someone was sensing souls nearby. Soul sensers always put out a powerful scent. She curled herself tightly around Nala.

After a moment of thought, Max decided to head out of the tavern to further investigate the town. He wasn't feeling too tired yet.

Nala's mind is completely blacked out and is currently doing nothing

Will is still asleep in the tavern.

Cross froze and opened his eyes in alarm when he sensed two souls relatively nearby, though one of them felt weird. He quickly looked around as he tried to find them, pushing down the urge to vomit as a feeling of wrongness washed over him from using his magic. He then started carefully makinv his way towards the two he had sensed

Akka decided to take a chance and jumped down from the tree, hissing and baring her teeth. Hopefully he wouldn't notice Nala carefully hidden in the tree.

He went spring the town, starting to question some of the people there. A few ignored his attempts; others didn't have answers, or weren't willing to give up any information.
