"Good," Alexis said. "If no one cares, then I'll stay a skeptic." She loved fantasy and what not, but she knew the never existed in real life. There were things like dragons that she knew might've existed, but ghosts certainly did not.
-
Cameron wasn't sure he liked this new girl. "I don't remember asking you," he said. "But I agree with Adelaide that it wasn't anything natural at all."
-
“It was right behind me.” Adelaide stated.
-
Alexis was used to people saying that they never asked her. She was always told it. She had passed it off every time, but not this time. She was done with being told what to do. Unfortunately it was going to be with a group she had just met, but it had to start sometime. "You didn't. In fact this is the first time you've spoken to me. But it doesn't really matter if you asked me or not," Alexis said, shrugging. "I don't have to speak based on if you asked me or not."
-
"I don't understand." Engle said.
-
(Honestly, I could've become like Alexis. But lucky for me and for everyone, I didn't.)
-
"Don't understand what? How the ghost wasn't behind her, or what I just said?" Alexis asked.
-
"whatcha just said." Engle said.
-
Alexis motioned to Cameron. "He said that he didn't remember asking me. So I said that he didn't, and that it didn't really matter because I don't follow his commands and do everything this he said."
-
"I'm not asking you to "obey me". Just to be polite," Castor said.
-
"Let's just agree to disagree on this whole thing, " Alexis said.
-
“Pfft. Watch how that turns out.” Adelaide said, scoffing a bit.
-
"Well it's going to turn out better than it is already," Alexis said.
-
"I should hope so," Castor said. The whistle sounded again, and the camp director crowded them all over to the next activity.
-
“What’s next? A wilderness guide to how to catch ghosts?”
